Heart Disease - Congestive Heart Failure
What is Congestive Heart Failure?
Other Names: CHF, Heart Failure
Description
In congestive heart failure, the heart cannot pump enough blood. The heart keeps working, but not as well as it should. This causes blood to back up in the veins leading to the heart, and sometimes causes fluid to build up in the legs or other parts of the body.
Congestive heart failure happens when the heart is diseased, injured, or overworked.
